"The Carlyle Hotel in New York City has long enjoyed a wonderful relationship with illustration. Ludwig Bemelmans painted the walls of the now-called Bemelman's Bar in 1947 and the murals by Marcel Vertes live on inside Cafe Carlyle. In recent years, they have created an exclusive yearly calendar, featuring illustrations of the hotel's iconic settings. I was delighted to provide the illustrations for the 2019 calendar."
